About National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam (II) 2024

To join the National Defence Academy (NDA), candidates must appear in the NDA and Naval Academy Exam (II) 2024, which is being conducted by the UPSC, New Delhi. The UPSC is responsible for issuing guidelines and conducting the NDA entrance examination (II) 2024. The qualification required to join NDA is 12th Class of 10+2 System of Education/Equivalent for Army, and with Physics and Maths for Indian Air Force & Indian Navy.

Selected candidates will undergo training for 3 years at NDA and 1 year at IMA (For Army cadets)/ 3 years at NDA and 1 year at Naval Academy (For Naval cadets)/ 3 years at NDA and 1 & 1/2 years at AFA Hyderabad (For AF cadets) after getting selected through the NDA Exam (II) 2024.

UPSC NDA & NA Exam (II) 2024 Vacancies

The UPSC NDA & NA Exam (II) 2024 has a total of 404 vacancies available. Out of these, there are 370 vacancies in NDA (Army-208, Navy-42, Air Force-120 (Flying-92, Ground Duties (Tech)-18, Ground Duties (Non Tech)-10), and 34 vacancies in the Naval Academy 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme.

Eligibility criteria for the NDA & NA Exam (II) 2024 are as follows:

- Age: Candidates must be born between 2nd January 2006 and 1st January  2009. - Educational Qualification: - For Army: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. - For Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. - Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical fitness requirements as specified in the notice.

Fees:  Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹100/- (SC/ST candidates are exempted) which can be deposited in any branch of SBI or paid online through Net Banking or Credit/Debit card.

UPSC NDA Exam Pattern Scheme

The UPSC will conduct an examination on 01/09/2024 for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 154th Course, and for the 116th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). Candidates must be aware that there will be a penalty for incorrect answers in the Objective Type Question Papers.
