UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II) 2024

The UPSC is scheduled to conduct the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II) in 2024 on 1st September. This examination is for entry into the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezihimala, Air force Academy, Hyderabad, and Officers Training Academy, Chennai. UPSC CDS (II) 2024 Examination - 459 Vacancies Indian Military Academy, Dehradun: There are 100 vacancies available for the 159th (DE) Courses that will commence in July 2025. Out of these, 13 vacancies are reserved for NCC 'C' Certificate (Army Wing) holders. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala: There are 32 vacancies available for the Executive (General Service)/Hydro Course that will commence in July 2025. This includes 03 vacancies for NCC 'C' Certificate (Naval Wing through NCC Special entry) holders. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad: There are 32 vacancies available for the (Pre-Flying) 218 F(P) Training Course that will commence in July 2025. Among these, 03 vacancies are reserved for NCC 'C' Certificate (Air Wing) holders through NCC Spl. Entry. Officers Training Academy, Chennai: There are 276 vacancies available for the 122th SSC (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course that will commence in October 2024. Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Women): There are 19 vacancies available for the 36nd SSC Women (NT) (UPSC) Course that will commence in October 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for CDS-(II) Exam 2024

(A) Age Limits, Gender, and Marital Status - Indian Military Academy: Only unmarried male candidates born between 2nd July 2001 and 1st July 2006 are eligible. - Naval Academy: Only unmarried male candidates born between 2nd July 2001 and 1st July 2006 are eligible. - Air Force Academy: Only unmarried male candidates born between 2nd July 2001 and 1st July 2005, aged 20-24 years, are eligible. - Officers' Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men): Male candidates, whether unmarried or married, born between 2nd July 2000 and 1st July 2006 are eligible. - Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non-Technical) Course: Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (with divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born between 2nd July 2000 and 1st July 2006. (B) Educational Qualifications - Indian Military Academy and Officers' Training Academy: A degree from a recognized university or its equivalent. - Naval Academy: A degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution. - Air Force Academy: A degree from a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or a degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution. - Candidates in the final year of their degree course, who are yet to pass the final year examination or its equivalent, can also apply. However, they must provide proof of passing the degree examination or its equivalent by the specified dates. (C) Physical Standards Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards as prescribed in the detailed advertisement on the UPSC website for admission to the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II), 2024.

Application Fee

Applicants (excluding Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempt from paying the fee) must submit a fee of ₹200/- by either depositing the amount in any SBI Branch in cash or utilizing the Net Banking service of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
